Global Legislation for Food Packaging Materials by Rinus Rijk and Rob Veraart

The ability to safely distribute, store and transport food has been known for many years. The materials used to do so, which may come from natural or synthetic sources, need to be safe and when possible, environmentally friendly. This monograph provides a truly global overview of the legislation, recommendations or voluntary guidelines in place in all major countries, and contains the information vital for the manufacturers of food contact materials and food producers. It covers not only plastics but also other food contact materials, such as paper, board, coatings, ceramics, cork, rubber, and textiles. The authors all have expertise knowledge of the regulations in their respective lands.
